Careers

A trade worth learning properly.

Stanmore employs its site teams directly and trains them deliberately. If you want to be measured against a standard rather than a day rate, this is the place to do it.

Why StanmoreSEC. 01

Directly employed, properly supervised

Specialist quality is not bought in at the point of installation. It is built over years, inside a business that keeps its people.

Because Stanmore designs, procures and installs its own packages, the people on site are working to details their own colleagues drew. Questions are answered by the person who took the decision, not by a chain of subcontracts. That is a materially different working experience — and it is why the standard is reproducible across four regions.

Progression is real rather than nominal: apprentices move into skilled installation, skilled operatives into supervision, supervisors into project management. Technical and commercial teams are recruited from both the trade and from graduate routes, and both are expected to understand how the work is actually built.

The disciplines that make up the business

Roles exist across all six. Speculative applications are welcome in any of them.

Design and technical

Our in-house design team translates architectural intent into installable detail — setting-out, interfaces, system selection and performance justification.

Estimation and pre-construction

Measured take-offs against the tested system, with the risks and ambiguities identified during tender rather than discovered on site.

Procurement and manufacture

Sourcing and manufacturing arrangements built around certified systems, controlled finishes and lead times fixed against the construction programme.

Project delivery

Directly managed site teams, supervised by Stanmore project management, with one accountable line from contract award to handover.

Quality, safety and compliance

Inspection against the certifying system detail, documented evidence capture, and the safety planning that specialist installation at height demands.

Craft and site teams

The dry liners, plasterers, facade installers, glaziers, metalworkers and fire stopping operatives who make the standard real.
